The Pilot Point Municipal Development District is a MDD comprised of seven members appointed by City Council. The Board is authorized to expend funds for both economic development projects and community quality of life projects. Expenditure of the funds requires approval from both the board and the City Council.
The Board is authorized to expend funds for both economic development projects and community quality of life projects. Municipal Development District funds come from a 1/2 cent sales tax, levied in both the city limits and the Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) if not otherwise included in an adjacent city or another city's ETJ. Expenditure of the funds requires approval from both the board and the City Council.
